     Diya Making Competition

          An inter–class Diya Making Competition was held on 14th October, 2017 at Kuruom Vidyalaya for the students of V to VIII on the occasion of Diwali. Students used various colorful objects to decorate diyas. The competition held under the supervision of Class-teachers. Such activities enhance student’s creative ability. As a whole it was full of fun and enjoyment. Winners of this competition was students of class VII.

     

     Rangoli Competition

             “Creativity is as important now in education as literacy and we should treat it with the same status.” With the thinking of this super thought an inter–class Rangoli competition among students of classes VI to VIII was held at Kuruom Vidyalaya on 7th October 2017. Class–wise participation of Students was held for this competition. Colours, flower petals and diyas were used to decorate rangolis. Judges had a tough time choosing the winners. Class six bagged the first prize. School principal Mrs. Shagufa Afzal and school Manager Mr. Rajesh Kumar Singh lauded the efforts of students.

     

     

     Food Stalls & Sports activities on Children’s day

           Students of KURUOM VIDYALAYA organized a children fair on this special day. Principal Mrs. Shagufa Afzal formally inaugurated the fair by lighting lamp. Students from V to IXshowcased many different self-cooked dishes and handicrafts on various stalls. Teachers, parents and students graced the occasion and enjoyed the delicious dishes very much.A game competition from LKG to III was also organized. Parents and students visited the games stalls and enthusiastically tried their hands at 'Hooplah', 'Toppling the Tumblers', ‘Frog Race’, 'Ball Toss' and other games. The prizes they wonadded cheer to the day.A day marking childhood, Children’s Day celebrations focus on children and their enjoyment. Not only an eminent figure and national leader, Nehru loved children and spend quite a lot of time with them. Hence, Nehru was also known as Chacha Nehru out of respect and admiration. Schools and educational institutions all over India mark the occasion as a grand fiesta.
